This service is required:
- New building works are proposed
- Additions and alterations (A&A) to existing buildings are planned
- Change of use affecting fire safety provisions is involved
- Fire safety approval from SCDF FSSD is required prior to construction or renovation works
Scope of Works:
Our scope of works includes, but is not limited to:
- Review of architectural and building layouts for fire safety compliance
- Design of fire safety provisions in accordance with SCDF codes and guidelines
- Preparation of fire safety plans and layouts (e.g. means of escape, fire compartments, fire protection
systems) - Coordination with Qualified Persons (QP), Registered Inspectors (RI), and other consultants
- Submission of building plans to SCDF FSSD
- Addressing authority comments and resubmission until approval
Deliverables
- Fire safety layout plans and drawings
- Fire safety design reports (where required)
- Authority submission documents
- SCDF FSSD approval / clearance letters (subject to authority approval)

- Project details and site location plan
- Architectural layout drawings
- Proposed building use and occupancy load
- Mechanical and electrical layouts related to fire protection systems
- Previous approval documents (if applicable)
- Project timeline and key milestones
